Philosophy

The Doctor of Philosophy in Forensic Science aims to produce and train graduates to be forensic

scientists who have abilities and expertise in analyzing criminal evidence with scientific approaches,

conducting research, and building new bodies of knowledge.

Objectives
The objectives of the Doctor of Philosophy in Forensic Science are:
1) To produce graduates in the field of forensic science who have knowledge and abilities in
conducting research using a scientific process.
2) To build new procedures and bodies of knowledge in the field of forensic science.
3) To provide academic services in the area of forensic science for the communities and society.
4) To promote fairness and justice in society.
5) To provide graduates with knowledge on a justice system and an ability to apply their
knowledge in crime investigations and criminal court hearings.
